Gustavus is home to a very active chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS). In three of the past four years, Gustavus has earned an “Outstanding Chapter Award” from the national SPS office. The most recent award letter cites “the depth and breadth of SPS activities conducted by your chapter in such areas as physics research, public science outreach, physics tutoring programs, hosting and representation at physics meetings, and providing social interaction for chapter members.”
