Kelly Younge’s Article featured on NSF Website Posted on May 18th, 2010 by

Kelly Younge ('05)

Gustavus physics alumna Kelly Younge (’05), who is completing her Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the University of Michigan, has had her research featured on the NSF website. Taken from an article she has written for Physical Review, the full story explaining her work on “Trapping Giant Rydberg Atoms for Faster Quantum Computers” can be accessed at the University’s website.

Kelly plans to defend her thesis in June. Then, she informs us, “I have a job lined up as a radiation oncology physicist resident at the University of Michigan Hospital. It is a three year position a lot like a medical residency, except the physics side of things.”

Congratulations, Kelly!
