Michelle Price (’08) Wins Multiple Awards Posted on June 16th, 2010 by

Michelle (“MJ”) Price (’08), who is a graduate student in the Applied Physics program at the University of Michigan, has hit the trifecta! She has simultaneously been offered fellowships through the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program, the Department of Energy Science Graduate Fellowship Program and the Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program. Michelle says, “In my applications I proposed a time-resolved microwave conductivity system with a sub-millimeter focus to characterize novel, predominantly multi-crystalline photovoltaic materials without the bias introduced by electrical contacts. This rapid, cost-effective measurement technique will be amenable to high-volume combinatorial analysis that will efficiently single out promising photovoltaic materials.” Now her only problem is deciding which of these prestigious fellowship offers to accept. Congratulations, MJ!
