2015 Gustavus Sigma Pi Sigma Induction Banquet Posted on May 6th, 2015 by

IMG_7806On May 4, 2015, the Gustavus physics department held its annual banquet to induct new members into the national physics honor society, Sigma Pi Sigma. Thirteen members of the graduating class of 2015 were elected to membership.The banquet was attended by faculty, students and some families of the honored inductees.

Our guest speaker was Dr. Jared Lee ’05, who is a Project Scientist I at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. His talk was entitled “From ‘The Hill’ the the Foothills: My Early Career as an Atmospheric Scientist.” Jared is shown in the photo below along with twelve of this year’s new ΣΠΣ members.
